Mike Binstock
Mike began his financial services career in 1996 to pursue his interest in providing thorough and comprehensive financial strategies for the asset management, insurance, and estate planning needs of his suburban Minneapolis community. Mike’s informative, professional and dedicated approach begins with coaching his clients in the options available to them, presenting solutions and ideas to improve their situations, and helping them implement those choices to grow and protect their financial futures.
Mike is an Investment Advisor Representative, with his Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 registrations, in addition to his Life and Health insurance licenses. He and his wife Kelli are raising their three children, Amanda, Marissa, and Matthew in the Twin Cities area. Spending time with his family is his greatest hobby and he occasionally enjoys getting away to indulge in his hunting and fishing interests.

Dylan Fisher
Dylan began his career with Western Lakes Financial in June of 2021 to follow his interests in educating and coaching clients on financial strategies and services for each part of retirement. Dylan has worked with many unique situations, providing him with knowledge of taxes, Social Security, and proper investment structure to present clients with robust ideas and solutions for their futures. Driven by results, it is his commitment to communicate often and form lasting relationships. Dylan holds his Series 7 & 66 registrations in addition to his Life & Health insurance licenses.
Outside of the office, Dylan enjoys time spent with his wife Katie, being outdoors fishing, hunting, and golfing. He is often found shooting his bow or cheering on his favorite sports team, the Minnesota Wild, with his dog Remy.

Matthew Binstock
Matt recently began his career with Western Lakes Financial in June of 2022 after graduating from Minnesota State-Mankato University with a degree in Finance with an emphasis on insurance and financial planning. While starting his career at Western Lakes Financial and being involved with the team, Matt has furthered his knowledge of taxes, social security, and proper investment structure. Matt holds Series 7 and 66 registrations and Life & Health Insurance licenses. He is committed to forming lasting relationships and applying key financial strategies.
While away from the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Bre and dog Baxter, along with family and friends. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, hunting, and cheering on his local Minnesota sports teams.

Shelley Batdorf
Shelley has been with Western Lakes Financial since 2019 and enjoys interacting with clients and keeping the office running smoothly, enabling Mike and Dylan to focus on what they do best—helping our clients succeed with their financial goals.
When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, going to the cabin, taking a road trip, cooking, reading, serving in her local church, and connecting with friends. Although she has lived in Canada, Scotland, and California, the Twin Cities have always been home.
