Mike began his financial services career in 1996 to pursue his interest in providing thorough and comprehensive financial strategies for the asset management, insurance, and estate planning needs of his suburban Minneapolis community.  Mike’s informative, professional and dedicated approach begins with coaching his clients in the options available to them, presenting solutions and ideas to improve their situations, and helping them implement those choices to grow and protect their financial futures.

 

Mike is an Investment Advisor Representative, with his Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 registrations, in addition to his Life and Health insurance licenses.  He and his wife Kelli are raising their three children, Amanda, Marissa, and Matthew in the Twin Cities area.  Spending time with his family is his greatest hobby and he occasionally enjoys getting away to indulge in his hunting and fishing interests.

Dylan recently began his career as a junior advisor in June of 2021 after graduating from Augustana University with a degree in Finance and Business.  Eager to learn and serve clients with a dedicated approach to their unique situation drives him to exceed their financial goals. While interning at Western Lakes Financial for the past 2 years Dylan has been exposed to many different situations providing him with knowledge of taxes, social security, and proper investment structure. Driven by results, it is his goal to work with you up to and during retirement to deliver the best communication and form lasting relationships.

Outside of the office or work environment, Dylan enjoys time spent with his wife Katie, and being outdoors fishing, hunting, and golfing. He is often found shooting his bow or cheering on his favorite sports team, the Minnesota Wild, with his Golden Revieiver, Grizzly.

Shelley has been with Western Lakes Financial since 2019 and enjoys interacting with clients and keeping the office running smoothly, enabling Mike and Dylan to focus on what they do best—helping our clients succeed with their financial goals.

 

When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, going to the cabin, taking a road trip, cooking, reading, serving in her local church, and connecting with friends. Although she has lived in Canada, Scotland, and California, the Twin Cities have always been home.
